Medical Treatment Visa.

This Visa is issued for a period of 6 months at a time. This Visa can now be applied for whilst in South Africa on a 90/30 day entry visa. You will apply for a change of condition on your visa.

Requirements and Documentation needed for this Visa:

• Valid Passport
• Copy of your entry visa / stamp received at the airport of border post from Immigration. 
• A Letter from the applicant's Registered Medical Practitioner or Medical Institution within the Republic of SA, confirming - a) that space is available at the medical institution;  b) the estimated costs of the treatment;  c) Whether or not the disease or ailment is treatable or curable;  d) the treatment schedule;  e) The period of intended treatment in the Republic.
• The details of, and confirmation by the person or institution responsible for the medical expenses and hospital fees or in case where medical scheme is not liable, then proof of financial means to cover medical costs.
• The particulars of the persons accompanying the applicant, if necessary or applicable.
• A valid return flight ticket with new return date in 6 months' time.
• Proof of sufficient financial means or provision for the costs indirectly related to the treatment.
