Retired Person's Visa:

This Visa is one of South Africa's more popular visas. This Visa is valid for a period of 4 years at a time. The 1st Application must be made abroad in your country of origin at your nearest SA Embassy or Mission. Extensions can then be made in South Africa.  

Requirements and Documentation needed:

• All Visa Source Documents (as per list on your top panel)
• The minimum monthly payment to a foreigner from a pension fund or an irrevocable retirement annuity or a net worth or a combination of assets realizing the amount of R37,000 per month.
• However, when a couple wants to apply, then the main applicant will have to comply with the financial requirement, and his/her spouse can qualify and apply as an accompanying spouse. The accompanying spouse does not need to meet the financial requirement of R 37,000. This will also apply when the applicant/s have minor dependent children.
