David Symons (Tourists Garden Route): January 2022 - I cannot recommend the services of Executive Immigration highly enough. My wife and I were caught up with the sudden cancellation of flights to the UK and needed to extend our tourist visas until March 2022. I couldn't find any information on the VFS Global website that related to our situation. I found the website for Executive Immigration and emailed Melanie with my questions. She responded so quickly, not only with answers to my questions, but also with the reassurance that we did not need to apply for an extension as a temporary waiver had been granted by the Department of Home Affairs until the end of March 2022. Lewis & Nobs Nzira (Mosselbay) - Permanent Residency: July 2016 - What a pleasure working with you guys. I have been in South Africa for 7 years on work permits. My permit was renewed yearly based on the time frame of my contract. However in the 6th year my application for Permanent Residency Permit and Work Permit were rejected based on technicalities I could not handle. Fortunately my wife had been told about Executive Immigration. The first call we made to them made us believe in their ability to deliver. Client wrote this letter to the Editor of the Cape Times and was published in the Times on 7 Jan. 2015 on page 8 - Heading: Painless Extension - I AM in the happy position of being able to give you the positive side of this subject. My wife and I arrived in Cape Town on November 2 to be told bluntly at Immigration that 90 days was the maximum allowed and no extensions were available. "You will have to go home" was the retort. We did not enter into a discussion but went to Home Affairs in George the following week, where we bumped into an authorised/recognised immigration consultant, whom we engaged on the spot, and our request for an extension was submitted through him. On January 5, we received our extension to the end of the month in which we planned to depart. Yes, it cost a bit more but it was painless and hassle-free, much less then the previous 14 years of extensions. So, it seems the system works fine when you get the correct information/advice. It would have been useful and sensible to have had a handout at major ports to inform those who were intending to stay beyond 90 days of the exact requirements and process to achieve that. Foreign nationals should not be expected to know of changes to rules and regulations in another country. The whole process of fingerprints, photos, etc. seems to have been properly set up and the professionals know how to operate within it.
